Wow, those look absolutely decadent. And festive. Yes, great for the holidays, but why not use them as a good excuse for coffee (or tea)? I like the switch-out from olive oil to sunflower oil, because I always feel that olive oil will overpower a sweet baked good. Thanks for the recipe.
Anyway, I found you through TasteSpotting and am writing to say that if you have any photos that aren’t accepted there, I’d love to publish them. Visit my new site (below), it’s a lot of fun! I hope you will consider it.
Mandy, I’m a freak for Greek desserts..that honey and/or sugar syrup just kills me every time, whether it be on baklava, ravani, or cookies etc. Those cookies look so amazing, and your photos are incredible!!! I would give anything for natural light..anything. Oh, and a lens that doesn’t break..lol I’ll be emailing you later on 🙂
Haha! Yes, a fixed lense would be very helpful!
Thanks for the compliments, I was trying something a little different with these photos and really enjoyed it. It if makes you feel any better, my natural light is on its way out as Ireland becomes dark again 😦 Ah well!
Last night I was thinking about semolina cake, I haven’t had it in ages, drenched in orange syrup… mmmm… think I’ll have to put that on the “to-do” list!
