Wow, those look absolutely decadent. And festive. Yes, great for the holidays, but why not use them as a good excuse for coffee (or tea)? I like the switch-out from olive oil to sunflower oil, because I always feel that olive oil will overpower a sweet baked good. Thanks for the recipe.
Anyway, I found you through TasteSpotting and am writing to say that if you have any photos that aren’t accepted there, I’d love to publish them. Visit my new site (below), it’s a lot of fun! I hope you will consider it.
Mandy, I’m a freak for Greek desserts..that honey and/or sugar syrup just kills me every time, whether it be on baklava, ravani, or cookies etc. Those cookies look so amazing, and your photos are incredible!!! I would give anything for natural light..anything. Oh, and a lens that doesn’t break..lol I’ll be emailing you later on
Haha! Yes, a fixed lense would be very helpful!
Thanks for the compliments, I was trying something a little different with these photos and really enjoyed it. It if makes you feel any better, my natural light is on its way out as Ireland becomes dark again Ah well!
Last night I was thinking about semolina cake, I haven’t had it in ages, drenched in orange syrup… mmmm… think I’ll have to put that on the “to-do” list!
